Why Korcula apartments in Prizba?

After many years of experience of renting apartments on the island of Korcula and communicating with people of all ages that came here from various corners of Earth, the conclusion was simple: Prizba is one of the most wanted destination for a real rest, the pleasure of a summer sun, colourful views of the unique nature and, above all, enjoying in all sorts of sea activities such as swimming, snorkeling, boating, sailing, windsurfing or many more!

Apartments location

While the classic dalmatian village has narrow streets (some of them still have cobbled stone) and a town square, Prizba is somewhat a different place. It spreads along the southern coast of the island of Korcula in length of 2 kilometers. The houses are situated in the first or second row to the sea, 10 – 50 meters from the sea. The beautiful view to the sea is complemented with four charming islets, a unique feature of this area. The coast of Prizba is not straight but it has several coves, small peninsulas, boat port and pier. That makes Korcula apartments in this area unique, which is recognized by people from all over the world that are visiting Prizba.

Pebble beach – not only for children

The island of Korcula has many pebble beaches. They are mostly located in the narrow coves and often not easy to reach. Pebble beach “Zal” is situated in the central part of Prizba. Opposite of the beach, the boat port is situated, and it can be easily reached through the peninsula Ratak. The beach is one of the biggest beaches on the island. During the summer, the most usual wind here is Maestral which blows from the southwest. The beach is positioned on the east side of the peninsula so the sea near the beach is mostly calm during the summer. The beach is of gravel/pebble type but the bottom of the sea is mainly sandy, which colours the sea near the beach in unique turquoise color. The guests often called this “photoshopped sea”.

The beach is ideal for the children. They love it because they can play in the shallow sea. They can learn to swim or swim a little bit further and safely enjoy in snorkeling.

Others will also find content for themselves. Apart from swimming and sunbathing, there is a nice beach bar nearby for grabbing a nice cold cocktail, beer or a cup of coffee. On the beach, there are several services for renting equipments like stand up paddles, kayaks, boats, speed boats, windsurf boards, seabobs, and a relaxing aromatherapy massage.

Speaking of rental possibilities on the beach Zal, renting a boat or the speed boat is a must. With a boat, the exploration of the coast can begin! There are four charming islets just 800 meters from Prizba which you can explore just by sailing around them. But, should you decide to stop and moor the boat, you’ll enjoy in swimming or lazing in the deep shade of pine trees – do not give up because of the rocky coast. Prizba is an attractive location for the Summer vacation. As the Summer is getting closer, the number of days available for rent at our house is getting smaller. Many of our guests book one year in advance.
